MSI Symposium on Financial Literacy and College Success

From 2008 through 2011, IHEP partnered with Strada Education Network to host an annual Symposium on Financial Literacy and College Success at Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs). The symposia equipped institutions to meet both student and institutional financial needs with a focus on accessibility, affordability, retention, and financial aid. IHEP gathered senior-level representatives from two- and four-year MSIs across the country to think critically about how institutional practices relate to broader institutional goals, particularly financial literacy and student retention.
