
Taylor Myers
Associate Director of ResearchTaylor Myers is the Associate Director of Research at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP). In this role, she helps lead practice-informed research projects and manages field engagement related to IHEP’s Postsecondary Data Collaborative.
Prior to joining IHEP, Taylor was a Research Associate at the Community College Research Center (CCRC), where she studied student transitions from community colleges to four-year institutions and the implementation of Guided Pathways reforms. She also served as a Policy and Research Analyst for California Competes, advocating for policies that support student success, online education, and reengagement of adults with some college but no degree. Her dissertation research explored the experiences and perceptions of post-traditional learners including transfer students, returning learners, and student parents.
Taylor graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Health Education and Community Health, from the University of California, Berkeley, with an MPP in Public Policy, and earned her Ph.D. in Education Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University.
She is proud to have been a first-generation college graduate and a parenting student. Taylor is passionate about using data to understand how public policy affects college students, their families and communities, and the broader economy.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her young kids, discovering new hiking trails, and dabbling in interior and landscape design.
