Evaluating report of the effectiveness of New Jersey’s Outstanding Scholar Recruitment Program (OSRP) with high school graduates at in-state colleges and universities

This report determines the effectiveness of New Jersey’s Outstanding Scholar Recruitment Program (OSRP) particularly evaluating its effectiveness in increasing enrollment and retention of high-achieving high school graduates at in-state colleges and universities. In this report, the growth of the program, degree of overlap with other financial aid programs in New Jersey, geographic disbursement of OSRP recipients, OSRP’s impact on regional enrollment patterns, retention and graduation rates of OSRP students, and comparability with other merit-based programs in other states is examined.
