The Institute for Higher Education Policy and InsideTrack partnered to launch California Reconnect, a three-year pilot initiative focused on supporting adult learners across the state who have earned some college credit but no credential. Through personalized coaching and institutional capacity building, the initiative helps returning students get back on track toward program completion and upward economic mobility.

A third-party evaluation by Education Northwest shares early results and insights from the first phase of implementation. The report highlights promising outcomes including a re-enrollment rate six times the national average and offers lessons and recommendations for improving re-engagement efforts across California’s colleges and universities. Read the full evaluation to explore student and staff experiences, institutional practices, and emerging strategies to reconnect learners with opportunity.
