IHEP and Partners Ask Congress to Pass Key Higher Education Reforms Before the Year Ends

Published Feb 24, 2021

The Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) and key partners, Third Way, New America, Excelencia in Education, National College Attainment Network, BPC Action, Young Invincibles, and Higher Learning Advocates, have asked Congressional leadership to act now for today’s students and to pass key higher education policy reforms before the end of the current legislative session.

These policies – including the bipartisan, bicameral College Transparency Act (S.800/H.R. 1766) and the bipartisan, bicameral Restoring Education and Learning (REAL) Act (S.1074/H.R. 2168) – are ripe for legislative action, enjoy broad support, and will better position students for success during the COVID-19 public health crisis and beyond.
