IHEP and 75 organizations urge Congress to preserve key higher education investments in the Build Back Better Act. These critical provisions include promoting affordability by increasing the maximum Pell Grant award, promoting student success by investing in evidence-based strategies to strengthen retention and completion, and promoting equity by investing in institutions that serve today’s students, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, Predominately Black Institutions, and Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander serving institutions.
