College Readiness and System Alignment Learning Lab
IHEP is hosting an interactive learning lab on college readiness and system alignment for communities participating in Lumina Foundation’s Community Partnership for Attainment (CPA) initiative. Teams from eight CPA communities will gather to share programs, policies, and ideas that help improve college readiness and enrollment among underserved students, and to discuss how to strengthen pathways to college through system alignment and cross-sector collaboration. Teams will consist of senior leaders from multiple key sectors, including K-12, higher education, mayoral offices, community-based organization, and the business community. Facilitators from national- and community-level organizations will support community teams in their lab work. IHEP will develop content from the learning lab into a tactical guidebook on college readiness and system alignment, which will be publicly available in 2015.
IHEP’s College Readiness and System Alignment Learning Lab will take place in Chicago on November 18-19th, 2014. The event is invitation-only.
