Rosario Durán

Research Intern

Rosario Durán is a Research Intern at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), supporting research on postsecondary data and transparency as well as college completion and value. Prior to joining IHEP, Rosario served as a Senior Government Relations Associate at the Association for Community College Trustees.  

Rosario earned her B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from the University of South Florida and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Higher Education with a concentration in Public Policy at the University of Michigan. At U-M, she contributes to research on career and technical education and how students’ confidence in their own abilities shapes their postsecondary plans. 

As a first-generation college student, Rosario believes that higher education can be a true equalizer for students. She is committed to advancing evidence-based policy solutions that promote access and persistence for students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.  

Outside of work, Rosario enjoys reading historical fiction, traveling, and staying active.
