The Institute for Higher Education Policy will host a webinar, “How Institutions Are Driving Student Value,” on October 6, 2026 at 1:00 pm ET.
The conversation around higher education accountability is shifting. As federal and state accountability measures take effect, colleges have more reason—and more opportunity—to use data to understand the value they deliver to students and identify where they can improve. Institutional data, combined with state and federal data sources, can help leaders make more informed decisions about program design and resource allocation, to best support strong student outcomes. This virtual discussion will bring together practitioners and policy experts to explore how institutions are using data to improve student value. We’ll dig into IHEP’s latest analysis evaluating how programs perform under the Postsecondary Value Commission’s minimum economic return threshold and the federal “Do No Harm” accountability framework. We’ll also explore analytical tools and share policy recommendations that states and institutions can implement to increase the economic value of higher education.
