Thuong Tran
Research InternThuong Tran is a Research Intern at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), supporting research on postsecondary data and transparency, as well as college completion and value.
Prior to joining IHEP, Thuong served as a Research Assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, supporting a longitudinal study on adolescent well-being, identity, and sense of purpose in Vietnam. She also supported graduate student professional development initiatives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, contributing to program evaluation and internal reporting for a grant writing certificate program, and previously served as a bilingual Field Data Collector with Mathematica on state-level education and economic policy research.
Thuong earned her M.Ed. in Education Policy Analysis from Harvard University and her B.A. in Politics and Public Affairs with a minor in Education from Denison University.
She is motivated by a desire to strengthen connections between K–12 and higher education systems to ensure students experience clear, equitable pathways into and through postsecondary education. Outside of work, Thuong enjoys reading, learning new languages, and supporting students from low-income backgrounds.
