National survey of correctional education administrators from all 50 states and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons about the programs offered in each prison system

To better understand what postsecondary correctional education programs exist and how those programs are funded and implemented, a national survey asking correctional education administrators from all 50 states and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons about programs offered in each prison system was conducted. Findings are detailed in this report along with recommendations to improve funding mechanisms and overall access to higher education. This publication is one of a series of reports that examine how and why specific groups are slipping through the cracks of American postsecondary educational opportunities.
